Introduction
St. John Ambulance of Malaysia (SJAM) is formed under St. John Ambulance of Malaysia (Incorporation) Act, 1972 combining St. John Ambulance Brigade and St. John Ambulance Association for Malaya, Sarawak and North Borneo that has been active since 1908. Besides SJAM also plays an important role as a first aid organization and our members provide first aid at community programs, sports, festivals, parades and more.
St. John Ambulance of Malaysia South Kedah Area (SJAM-KKS) is a district level St. John Ambulance of Malaysia organization that consist of Kulim district, Bandar Baharu and Baling in South Kedah. In 2019, SJAM-KKS launch a brand new development plan with the objective to make SJAM-KKS one of the best SJAM unit in Malaysia.

ORGANISATION OBJECTIVES
St. John Ambulance of Malaysia (SJAM) objectives are as written down in St. John Ambulance of Malaysia (Incorporation) Act, 1972
Encourage and promote all works of humanity and charity for the relief of persons in sickness, distress, suffering and danger without any distinction of race, class, colour or creed.
Render aid to the sick and wounded in war or in peace and to promote such permanent organisations in time of peace so that such aid may immediately be available in time of emergency and such aid shall include the provision of the technical reserves for the medical services of the Government and armed forces of Malaysia.
Promote, encourage and co-ordinate the work of the Corporation in all aspects in Malaysia.
Promote, encourage and co-ordinate contacts between themselves and similar organisations under the name of St. John in other countries, the Red Cross Society and other similar voluntary or statutory organisations.
SJAM KKS actively organize Blood Donation Drive annually.

SJAM KKS organize First Aid Courses since school level by teaching basic first aid skill that is DOSH-compliant. Making school and workplace a safer place.
SJAM KKS has worked with multiple organisation to help disaster victims in various ways.
2021 – Misi Bantuan Ke Yan
SJAM KKS bersama dengan Briged Negaraku telah menghantar bantuan keperluan harian dan ubatan ke mangsa bencana di Yan pada 11 September 2021.

2022 – Bantuan Baling
SJAMKKS alongside Persatuan Kebajikan Er Ge Feng Dan Song Da Feng Selangor Kuala Lumpur have donated 90 multiple purpose cookers towards the affected community.
Many of the victim’s kitchenware were reportedly damaged during the flood.
A multi-cooker has a variety of functions, hence can replace different types of kitchen appliances. We hope our efforts are able to provide the community a heartwarming meal.

SJAM KKS provides transportation service to send patients from their home to clinic, hospital and dialysis centre.
We assign at least two certified personnel to take good care of your family and provide the best service for them at all time.
SJAM KKS also transport patients from hospital to their respective home.
Medical Standby for Events
SJAM KKS provides medical standby for various types of events. This can guarantee the safety of participants and ensure the events are able to run smoothly.
First Aid Course
SJAM KKS organize First Aid Courses since school level by teaching basic first aid skill that is DOSH-compliant. Making school and workplace a safer place.
A 2-day FAWP competency certification course with notes and training material provided. Theoretical and practical skills assessment will be conducted. Participants are able to learn practical skills, as well as theoretical knowledge.
